Common Simplex 4008 Trouble Codes
- IDNET FAULT: A physical break or short in the signaling line circuit wiring is preventing the main control board from communicating with the downstream addressable devices.
- BATTERY TROUBLE: The backup power supply batteries are completely disconnected, missing, or failing to hold the required standby voltage during an automated load test.
- GROUND FAULT: A bare field wire on an initiating loop or notification circuit has made unauthorized contact with a grounded metal backbox or conduit.
- NAC TROUBLE: A notification appliance circuit has a wiring break or short that will prevent the horns and strobes from sounding during an emergency.
