Common MS-5012 Trouble Codes
- ALARM SILENCE: The system was activated and silenced, but the fire alarm has not been reset.
- BATTERY FAULT: Usually indicates the lead-acid batteries are over 3-5 years old and need replacement, or the F2 fuse on the main board has blown.
- GROUND FAULT: A wire is touching a metal conduit or junction box. This is common in older Austin buildings with shifting foundations or water leaks.
- COMM FAULT: The internal dialer cannot reach the monitoring station. This often happens if you recently switched to a VOIP or digital phone line.
