Common Simplex 4010 Trouble Codes

  • IDNET CHANNEL FAILURE: The signaling line circuit has a short or open wire preventing communication with addressable TrueAlarm devices.
  • DEVICE MISSING: An addressable smoke detector or pull station has stopped communicating with the main IDNet card.
  • EARTH FAULT: A bare copper wire on a device or notification circuit is physically touching the metal conduit or the panel enclosure.
  • SYSTEM BATTERY TROUBLE: The sealed lead acid backup batteries have dropped below their required voltage or failed an automatic load test.
